The Society for Music Education of the Czech Republic organized the fourth edition of the Music Olympiad on February 24, 2024 at the Gymnasium and Music School of the Capital City of Prague, in the category of pupils aged 12-15, an eleven-year-old member of the ensemble Vivat Flauto/Flauto Vispo Kryštof Prchal took part. The competition was nationwide and consisted of four disciplines: • a knowledge and listening quiz, • verification of rhythmic and singing skills, • singing a folk or artificial song in the Czech language in the form of a concert performance, i.e. in front of an audience, • a public concert performance of one's own pre-prepared composition. Kryštof took 6th place in a field of 12 competitors and was included in the Silver Belt with the best performance in the intonation and singing discipline.
